Richard Stringham, GSP

For over 30 years, Richard Stringham has provided development services to a range of organizations such as co-operatives, professional regulatory organizations, non-profit groups, and commodity organizations. As a member of the management team for a non-profit educational organization, he led leadership development programs for youth and adults, provided educational services, and facilitated planning for boards, and volunteer and management groups.

He began work with the application of the Policy Governance model in 2002 with the Alberta Institute of Agrologists (AIA) where he was a direct report to the CEO. In that capacity, he provided governance services to both the CEO and the governing Council. AIA received the benefit of in-house Policy Governance expertise. Richard received the benefit of practical experience with Policy Governance.

He attended the Policy Governance® Academy in 2004 and is a member of Govern for Impact serving on its Model Consistency Team and previously coordinating the Simplifying Policy Governance Hub. Richard is a Senior Associate with the Governance Coach providing governance consulting to a wide range of organizations in Canada and the USA.
